Dr. Dominic Omboto has a diverse background in education and management, with professional interests spanning strategic planning, corporate governance, competence-based education, research, and curriculum development.

Dr. Omboto began his career as a high school teacher before transitioning to the Public Service Commission of Kenya and later the National Youth Service Technical College, where he taught Technical Drawing, Mathematics, and Financial Accounting. He then joined the TVET Authority as Assistant Director of Research and Strategy, leading key initiatives such as ISO certification and research policy development, before taking on his current role at NAMATA.

Dr. Omboto’s academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Strategic Management), an MBA in Strategic Management, and a Bachelor of Education in Building and Civil Engineering. He also holds professional certifications, including CPA (K), CPS (K), and a Project Management certificate from Google.
