NaMATA, in partnership with JICA, is spearheading a transformative initiative to revolutionize public transport along Nairobi’s busy Route 111, which connects the city center to Ngong Town. The groundbreaking formation of the Bus Operators Committee, chaired by Nelson Mwangi of Super Metro, marks a milestone in collaboration between stakeholders. This effort is set to bring efficiency, reliability, and sustainability to the commuters of this vital route.

    • This initiative unites 10 major bus operators: Super Metro, Nangkis, NTVRS, MCA Sacco, Enabled, Metro Trans, Dakika, Latema, Ngokana, and Raj Safaris. Together, they aim to harmonize operations, reduce congestion, and enhance service delivery.

    • A streamlined approach to scheduling and service management ensures more predictable and consistent transport services for daily commuters.
