TRANSFORMATIVE URBAN MOBILITY INITIATIVE (TUMI) E-BUS MISSION

Nairobi City's selection as a deep dive city under the TUMI E-Bus Mission led to a strategic partnership with NaMATA,focusing on the transition to sustainable mobility through capacity development. The TUMI E-Bus Mission, funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), is implemented by a consortium of organizations including GIZ, ITDP, C40 Cities, ICLEI, UITP, and WRI. Its goal is to support 20 cities in their transition to electric buses, aiming for 100,000 electric buses by 2025.
